Our main trailhead is located at Moon Lake in the Lake fork Drainage on the South Slope of the High Uintas just 2.5-3 hours east of Salt Lake City.

Directions to Lake Fork and Swift Creek Trailheads
The best access to our trailheads is from Duchesne which is located just south of the Uintas. To get to Duchesne from Salt Lake drive east on I-80, then south/east on Hwy 40 to Duchesne. From Duchesne turn due north out of the center of town onto Hwy 87(there is a sign indicating where to turn) following signs for either Lake Fork (Moon Lake) or Yellowstone Creek. Keep a close eye out for road junctions. You will be on paved road most of the way.
Swift Creek Trailhead
Approximately 5 miles after you leave the small town of Mountain Home, there will be a right turn onto a dirt road pointing to Yellowstone Creek or Swift Creek. This dirt road ends at the Swift Creek campground where the trailhead is located. It can be driven in a car but gets pretty rough in spots. Driving Time from SLC to the Swift Creek trailhead is about 3.5 hours.

Your end destination is Moon Lake / Lake Fork Trailhead
The best access to our trailheads is from Duchesne which is located just south of the Uintas. To get to Duchesne from Salt Lake drive east on I-80, then south/east on Hwy 40 thru Heber city to Duchesne.
From Duchesne turn due north (left) out of the center of town onto Hwy 87 this turn is at the only stop light in town. Follow 87 to 21000 W which is the MoonLake/Rock Creek/Mountain Home turn, this is a north (left) turn as well. (approx 12-15 miles)
Once in Mountain Home you keep straight past the only store heading due north, and follow this paved road for about 12-15 miles. You will pass a lake on your left, keep going another 5 miles, Moon Lake is on your Right and is a very big lake, our trailhead is on the left and there are signs saying Flying J Outfitters.
