Book Cliffs Limited Entry Deer Hunt
Buck Mule Deer hunting in the Book Cliffs, this is also a draw unit and the
application period can be found in the General Information section on this page.
Please let us know as soon as possible if interested in this Utah Buck Mule
Deer hunt so we can help you with your application, if need be.
We only hunt the deer in the Roadless portion of the Book Cliffs hunting
unit. When you enter the book Cliffs Roadless unit by foot or horseback, it
is like stepping back in time to when the likes of Billy the Kid wandered this
country. It has hardly changed since his times and we like it that way. Because
few people wander in the Roadless area of the Book Cliffs, the buck deer are
allowed to grow large antlers in a mostly undisturbed environment.
Your guided Utah Book Cliffs deer hunting adventure will begin at the trailhead
where we will load you, your gear and the camp supplies and well experienced
mules and horses, saddle up and ride on in to camp. At camp you will be able
to relax in a comfortable sized wall tent furnished with cots and foam pads
and a stove for heat. The Utah deer hunting season always falls in late October
and sometimes those evenings can get cold and one may even need to be prepared
for snow.
We will ride out from camp each day to a high spot to glass for your Utah
mule deer that is assuming we don’t bump a wall hanger on the way up.
Once spotted your guide and you will decide on the best plan of approach and
then work that plan to help you achieve your goal of a nice Utah Mule Deer hunting
experience.
Field care of your mule deer is the responsibility of your guide, but he
or she is always willing to let you do as much or as little as you want. This
is your deer hunt and we want you to enjoy it fully.

Northeastern Utah General Season
We hunt general season deer in the Northeastern region of Utah. We are hunting
for buck mule deer and we deer hunt an area that gets very little hunting pressure
during deer season as it is accessible only by foot or horseback. With the recent
changes in Utah deer hunting units and boundaries, it is more critical than
ever to know where to hunt. We still guide in a hunting unit that is remote
enough that mule deer bucks get the chance to grow some pretty healthy antlers.
If you are thinking about a guided Utah mule deer hunt, give us a call and we
can help you through the maze of a hunting application.
When you decide on a guided Utah mule deer hunt with us, and are lucky enough
to draw a tag, we will meet you at the trailhead and your Utah deer hunting
adventure begins with about a one and a half hour horse ride into camp which
puts you right in the middle of some of Utah’s best general mule deer
hunting country around. Our camp consists of wall tents with cots and foam pads
and wood stoves - because the nights can get chilly.
Hunting is conducted either on foot or horseback depending on where we are
headed that day. It is very rare to see anyone else during this particular Utah
deer hunt.
Your Utah deer hunt includes packing in and packing out of camp, field care
of your deer and packing to your vehicle at the trailhead, hearty meals and
2-on-1 guiding. Your Utah deer hunt does not include personal gear, taxidermy
or gratuities.
Ask about adding a cow elk tag with this hunt.
